Its relevance is that that was the situation that she inherited and had to have great resolve to overcome.
As so eloquently put by John Major yesterday - when you defeat a resolute foe they never get over it. It's a very sad reflection on the UK to see pictures of young people not born when she was in power celebrating her death.
