Here is an updated trademark table documenting P&G's trade mark applications for
MAGNEMASKS (and related trademarks) in various countries. I note that the SK-II MAGNETIC BOOSTER trademark applications have been confined to Asian countries, from which we can infer that the commercial roll-out will be confined to that part of the world. That conclusion is also consistent with OBJ announcements and posters' own observations that have been shared to date. It would appear that the
MAGNEMASKS, however, as can be gleaned from the trade mark table below, is a product which P&G plans to roll out under the OLAY brand in both "the East" and "the West". I think it is fair to conclude on that basis that the rewards that will be reaped by OBJ will be significantly greater than those that flow from the SK-II MAGNETIC BOOSTER. Bear in mind that the OLAY
MAGNEMASKS range is now the
third OBJ product that P&G have decided to release. This is no longer a "soft launch" scenario to test consumer reaction to novel technology. P&G have clearly decided it's a winner. Announcements by OBJ to date, in my humble opinion, have significantly understated the significance of this "third wave". But the recent concerted efforts by P&G's trade mark attorneys around the globe to secure protection for its
MAGNEMASK brand globally makes its intentions, and OBJ's consequential anticipated benefits, very very clear. I don't think we are talking 6 figures anymore, either in terms of quantity of products order or annual revenues that will flow. It's well and truly into the 7 figure ranges in both respects. I suggest everyone take a moment to contemplate the total population of consumers that can be tallied from all those countries listed below.
