I don't really care why he left - he was only there for a year. Could be any number of reasons:
- He didn't like the job
- He got head-hunted with a better offer
- He wasn't a good fit
- He wanted more shares in the OBJ employee share scheme but the directors said 'no', they're too valuable
- He thinks the company is going nowhere
- He thinks his career is going nowhere
- There was too much pressure put in the highly-stressed environment of an emerging blue-chip ASX-listed company
.... etc.

Who cares. He's middle management who made some kind of contribution, more or less, to the administration of the company. Now he's gone. Somebody will replace him.
