I wonder how many shares the Russians were able to buy today, after created this sell off. Very smart.
Normally, under the takeover rules, a bidder cannot do that, except under very controlled conditions.
This seems to be a regular offer, and it is normal for others to position themselves as best they can. Anyone who goes above 5% must report that immediately.
A lot of people are now aware of just how tight the rules of trading have become, not just takeover rules either. It is a nightmare of compliance.
