There's some pretty sticky questions in Magnolia's letter of offer for the board to answer, rather clever actually. Obviously management don't want Atkins to gain control because the gravy train would be over, having said that, there's virtually zero chance of Magnolia taking control. If Magnolia did take control they'd be left with a bare carcass to split up and sell off. I reckon John McGrath would have a wry smile right about now.
