re: milesg pt2::mahatir - common sense at last Reread your post.
Yes the casualties on either side are going to viewed for diametrically opposed positions and in that your right.
But like I said, there ARE sides and those dying on their side as combatants are fair game and the collateral casualties are victims and tragic - on both sides.
What he is getting you to accept and he has no chance with me is that the techniques utilised by the terrorists are legitimate. No way around that inference from his comments.
And though it may sound callous, I'd rather see a whole bunch of collateral casualties on their side if that means less casualties on our side.
This war in Iraq would cease to be - its would not happen - if Saddam did what everyone in the world wants him to do!
And the collateral damage would be minimum if he didnt position all his assets in the civilian's world - against all the UN directives!!!
Notice Mahatir himself did not call on Saddam to disarm. Pussy! He left it for the summation.
I'd trust him as far as I could throw him
And the "chromatically different" idea is his, that wanker.
HE is the one who said publicly Australia will not be part of or accepted as part of Asia until 51% of our population is Asian.
Sensible, huh???
Milseg - see him for what he is!
