    REQUEST FOR TRADING HALT

    ASX:TPL

    The Company hereby requests a halt in trading of its securities, effective immediately, pending an announcement regarding a Maiden Coal Intercept for the Lightjack Hill Coal Project, Canning Basin Western Australia.

    The trading halt will commence immediately and remain in place until the commencement of trading on Thursday 2 August 2012 or upon release of an Announcement regarding the Maiden Coal Intercept, whichever is the earlier.

    We confirm the Company is in compliance with LR3.1 and are not aware of any reason why the Company's request should not be granted
