I believe we will have a total lock down in two weeks, and that will include mining. Will or can they suspend operations on the ASX, so many uncertainties around. Will all mining stock plunge, what will the demand be like? Trumps idea about opening for business again in the next few weeks, could be the best idea. Maybe 15-30 million dead, but if we lock down it will keep on emerging until we have herd immunity more economic pain and maybe more dead. Some very tough decisions coming.
At the current infected in Aus of 25% we will go from 2040 infections today and extrapolate that number out to 60 days, we will have infected more than 100 million people. Of course, that is not possible, but effectively in 60 days we may be developing herd immunity. Damage in the way of deaths etc will unfathomable. ScoMo knows more about what’s coming, than most of us. To be infected early may be a blessing in disguise. The US is tracking at 35% increase in infections daily. Extrapolate todays 40,000 infections to 60 days at the 35% rate, you get billions, overwhelming heath system, disorder but herd immunity.
