Would you Pay a $1 for control of the Brand name, what about $10 or $100, I bet you would, and I bet there are others that would pay a lot more, potentially Millions of dollars, so yes its a real asset even if it's not tangible.

Once it is established that the brand exists and is worth millions, it could be used as collateral.
