I notice that BYL posted a 3-month contract position on 29/10/2015 for a Civil Superintendent for a project classified as “New Work” in the Pilbara. To be considered for the role candidates must possess the following:
This suggests BYL has, or is confident of getting, a small road-building contract from Main Roads WA (MRWA), because it has not until now recorded an MRWA win on its Webpage that relates to the Pilbara. The last MRWA contract on the Webpage was an $8.5m job for redevelopment on the Coalfields Highway south of Perth, which BYL secured in September.
- Previous experience in Main Roads construction essential
- Previous experience as a Civil Superintendent in a contracting environment
- Proven leadership capabilities with experience in managing teams
- Demonstrated ability to reach deadlines and balance competing and shifting priorities
- Commitment to safety and strong communications skills
Securing work does not appear to be BYL's problem. Making a good NPAT margin is problematic, though.
