    I think they keep meeting to negotiate as allies who is going to do what in order to ensure several mines not just one stay open. I can say that Americans won’t like their tax dollars going direct (no strings attached) too a foreign company even if it’s an ally. As I’m sure your taxpayers would feel the same in reverse.

    I could see us (USA) convincing one of our banks to back one or more of the miners by ensuring that we (DoD) would make certain guarantees, but I’m just speculating.

    I suspect that we want your govt to give govt backed loans and local tax breaks while we guarantee a specific amount of consumption regardless of need at a set profitable price thus ensuring profitability.

    I may be wrong, but I just don’t see this NOT happening. I’ve talked with several close friends still in the service. S$&@ is getting real. Let’s just say they shifted away from asymmetrical to near peer high intensity warfare. We are determined to not get REE from China anymore. Period!
