i dont know if anyone else has seen an interview, but the finance minister of cyprus has been on bloomberg, and when asked directly if the central bank had given authority to sell the gold, the question was not answered.
he did say that the troika had made the decicion on march 16th. last time i checked the reserve bank of cyprus was independent.
so what is going on, the minister is saying yeah, no problem, but the entity holding the gold is ot party to the sale/
