Far as I can make out the biggest buyers other than US entities are JAPAN and CHINA. They both hold a lot of U.S. dollars as well. Not sure how that is going to play out in the long run!
If the question is whether the U.S. fed is interveining in the market the answer is Yes. They are interveining in the bond market, the share market and the interest rates market.
