Yes of course the SSRIs are very safe from a toxicity point of view. They are frequently used as the drug of choice for responsible and legal treatment of depression. Those who love the free-wheeling lifestyle and have money to spare will always risk the excitement of illegal drugs, or just plain old overindulgence in alcohol.
