I don't have the same interpretation as you about the Auditors and goodwill. They certainly raised it as an issue to be aware of. When they say they "challenged" it, that means they independently assessed whether the valuation could be agreed with and they had a look at all the underlying assumptions and at the end passed it as OK. Of course the loss of the Rio contract might change some of those underlying assumptions......
