For what its worth I have fired off a formal complaint to the Surveillance Section of the ASX (and copied to the VGL MD/CEO) pointing out
(a) heavy fund manager selling prior to the ASX request of VGL to explain any reason they knew of for the rapid price decline and market volume and
(b) the fact it was only AFTER the ASX request that VGL advised a profit dowgrade of between 25%-40% compared to pcp. The failure of VGL to previously advise the market of such a downgrade being clearly in breach of the ASX rules of continuos market disclosure.
Probably no action but at least it got it off my chest!!
