We have a free trade deal with the USA...so we are trade buddies for renewable minerals .

Each starts next year and escalates in percentage each year. For example, the critical-minerals content of an EV battery must be 40 percent by the end of next year and at 80 percent after 2026. A battery must be 50 percent assembled in North America by the end of 2023 and reach 100 percent assembly by 2028.In both measures, by 2024, the car is excluded from the credit if it contains critical minerals from a “foreign entity of concern.”
