Hi all,
As per Yannick's post above re: 12th October 2017, announcement.
How does everyone interpret the following?
"RTS has received its first purchase order for an amount of USD 685,800, for a 35kW high-voltage and high-efficiency modular power supply for DC electric vehicle charging".
The way I interpret it is RFT received a purchase for one 35Kw power supply, for the sum of US $685,800, however that does not make sense to me. The other thing is, I can't find a 35Kw power module as part of RFT's product range..... I encourage everyone to have a look and correct me if I'm wrong.
The only conclusion I can draw since it's a modular unit, 35Kw x 5 =175Kw or 35Kw x 10 = 350Kw, which is in line with the Efacec's HV175 and Hv350, all so available as part of the HRE product range: http://www.hresol.com.au/downloads/Efacec EV HV Catalogue.pdf
I guess we don't know the commercial terms between Efacec and RFT about the sales of these units so it's very difficult to determine RFT benefits from any sales. It also appears these units have been available for a little while: https://newmobility.world/en/e-mobi...ev-charging-solutions-capable-provide-350-kw/
However, this thing I do find intriguing is "On the 2nd of October 2017, Rectifier Technologies Singapore Pte. Ltd. (RTS) was incorporated as a subsidiary of Rectifier Technologies Limited".
Followed by; an announcement from ABB in an article "Published on October 3rd, 2017 - ABB Unveils New 350 kW EV Chargers" http://gas2.org/2017/10/03/abb-new-350-kw-ev-chargers/
It appears EFACEC’s HV175 HV350 has been rebranded by ABB as TERRA’s HP

I know it’s only speculation and wishful thinking, but if true then I think RFT is finally making some headway.
Just something extra to think about taken from the below link “The latest generation of charging columns is connected to the Internet via a cloud solution, enabling cashless payments, among other things”.
