Voluntary Suspension

The Directors of Oriel Communications Limited (“Oriel”) wish to advise that trading in the
company’s securities are placed into voluntary suspension. The directors have received an
indicative proposal from a significant investment group with a strong focus on Asia and China
who are seeking a strategic investment in Oriel. Trading in the company’s securities will
remain in voluntary suspension until terms and placement details are finalised and agreed to by
Oriel Directors. The strategic investment will require approval from shareholders and regulatory
authorities.
