KJ I'm out of my depth for the time being. The only certainties are that chaos will follow and Turkish military structures will remain severly weakened for the medium term (12 months).

Russia helping Erdogan??????  Maybe they did tip him off given that the Sputniks are hinting at it. Erdogan turning to Russia?? Maybe that did trigger the coup and maybe the UAE assisted the Kemalists who were behind of the coup.  The coup was not ready to proceed but it did proceed because the planners knew they were being monitored by the MIT and maybe they also knew about the tip off (from whatever source).

The only person I admire in all of this is Gulen and he had nothing (personally) to do with it.   I'll need a few days to join some of the dots.
