yes well Labor got rid of paying fruit and vege pickers per unit which was free enterprise at its best...good pickers made good money, slackers not so much..so once again costs rise...minimum wages have risen too as have awards,; and yes we can see the reasons, but also see what the RBA is doing..dog chasing tail comes to mind!
certain casual workers been deemed to be full time now, increased cost... more public holidays by State Governments plus penalty loading, more costs...Labor making it harder for contractors and of course Labor hire firms, more costs!! More chain of responsibility legislation, less efficiency, more cost.
Burke currently wanting to bring in 30 hrs minimum a week for Pacific farm workers..sounds ok in theory..but often 20 hrs in a wet or hot week, 70 or 80 hrs when conditions are right..surely a compromise can be worked out as I can see both sides here!
but basically Labor equals more regulations and more cost which means only the big survive..big farmers, big supermarkets, big trucking firms so big costs for everyone !
