That was a joke. There's two ways you can look at it, they are so busy and so focused on doing this massive life changing deal that all other things are out the window such as communication with SH. The other is that there's no deal and they're frantically trying to get an extension on PEL87 so they can continue looking for a deal.
The truth is probably somewhere in between.
