Good points TPC. Also worth noting that for the time being Cobre has Metal Tiger (MTR.L MTR.AX) CEO Michael McNeilly on the board.
MTR go way back to 2015 in the KCB when they helped fund MOD to begin exploration there and buy the licences from Discovery Metals. Geos Julian Hanna MOD and Terry Grammer MTR were the founding pair after a good lunch in a Perth pub. They together helped put the KCB back on the map. Rick Rule/Sprott invested heavily into MTR and declared the KCB the next Tier One Copper District. Meanwhile Private Copper Co Cupric Canyon have steadily built on their significant earlier discoveries.
A 70/30 MOD/MTR JV was formed and the T3 discovery with high potential satellite domes (A4, A1 etc) is a continuing story with Micael McNeilly doing the deal to sell their MTR portion to MOD, who then sold all to SFR resulting in T3 becoming the producing Motheo Copper Mine next year. The highly mineralised A4 DFS will be out soon and A1 Dome exploration well underway.
MTR became involved in private explorer Kalahari Metals in June 2018 when they bought a 50% stake. Top class geo Adam Wooldridge is CEO of KML and is still top geo working on the 57 CBE targets. CBE bought into KML via MTR in 2021.
Worth noting to that Ross McGowan ( who was a co- recipient of the 2015 PDAC Thayer Lindsley Award for an international Mineral Discovery for Robert Friedland's Ivanhoe's remarkable Kamoa Copper discovery in the DRC) is also NED at Cobre.
The relationships don't end there as Ross is the MD & CEO of Armada Metals Ltd (who are at present exploring for Nickel (massive sulphides) in G.A.B.O.N Africa) in which CBE have an 18.5 % stake and MTR a 14.42% stake.
Hope you can all make sense of that convoluted story but enough to say that there is some serious talent on board and in the back story. Another top geo Wes Hall, who worked intensely with Cupric Canyon on Zone 5 geology (thesis available!) has advised MTR and CBE with KML exploration strategy. A wealth of talent so no real surprises if CBE hits the big time in my opinion.
