i don't think anyone is seriously suggesting people are going to die and demand for grains will fall. but what do you think pigs eat?

right or wrong, china and russia have put restrictions on imports of pork from us states where the flu has been found. this is possibley just an excuse to put some trade barriers in place but is still potentially very damaging for us pork industry, hence futures dropped down taking grain with it. short term hiccup possibley but some countries love trade barriers with respect to ag commodities and will be very slow to lift them.
