Well if the LNY drilling programme is anything to go by within 6 months they will have drilled the heck out of it and be working towards isolating JORC compliant resources. If it's good news you should expect very good news (look at the grades from Talisman).
Then it depends what type of operation they intend to go ahead with. Given the discussion about a replication of Talisman at depth we could be talking about an underground mining operation.
In which case, the consent process would hopefully be a lot less restrictive and time consuming that an open-pit mine - mainly because, I assume, underground mines are less likely to affect the aesthetic environment and can be mitigated a lot more easily (i.e. building a big grassy hill around the operations).
