I agree, they have sold the fluff and bubbles and kept the basic business units that were originally profitable. Gift cards are a great earner in a high interest environment. They get the cash upfront for millions of dollars of gift cards and they only return the proceeds to the merchant when the cards are used. I would love million of someone else's money earning me interest. The group I work for have been using the EML "Weel" digital cards for 2 years now and they are a great facility. Issued to multiple staff with varied spend limits. If we need to make a bigger purchase we call our admin team to do a temporary limit increase in a matter of seconds. And if there is any suspicious activity on oneof the cards they are cancelled instantly and reissued with new numbers and a new CVC. I have been on the sideline for 2 years while they sorted out the money laundering issues but bought back in today.
