checked with locals,and yes it is a surprise that any worthwhile dollars per coal exploration is forthcoming as there is no coal infrastructure in this area and local landholders are in the dark regarding serious mining of this rescource as most land here is long term farm land and there are no drilling notifications(inlaw family here last 70 years) of any serious note.
Tiaro coal must have a pretty worthwhile deposit of top quality coal as unless its sitting on the ground its better off in the bowen basement area as the infrastructure is already there , otherwise go, to alpha where i hear the locals are few and the coal is plenty.
