agreed, that's my view as well, shorts closing out.
they could have closed out at 11c... and now at 25c they'd be hoping for lightning to strike twice (covid round 2 and an escalation in the oil price war) to achieve those kind of returns... they must be thinking the higher this goes, the less they make and it's time to lock it in and close out the position... right?
it could just be wishful thinking on my part... but if they shorted at 39c they have given up half their profit to today... add in their interest expense and surely they're starting to panic... well, at least i hope they are...
