You may have read that there was conjecture about after seizing assets, whether banks could get the necessary waivers re Federal banking regulations ( as banks are not able to run commodity based businesses in US) as well as other necessary support to use ex oil execs to run the businesses.
Nowhere has this been put into place.
Imagine the uproar that fracking and environmental damage is now not done for profit, but merely so that banks do not lose money.
Don't forget also, that the Saudis and the Russkis could turn the taps back on again in response if they so desire.
