Well the data is out. On 2 and 3 June when the very large volume of shares was traded (12.4m) shorters bought back a net 2.6m after adding 300K. They certainly picked their moment well as this coincided with the SP bottoming out at 24c. Perhaps without their support on the bid the SP could have fallen further although there seemed to have been some other keen buyers (including me) hoovering up CVN at what I'd like to think were bargain prices. Still around 39m shorts outstanding and little down from start of year 48m.
