A bit of action from shorter(s). On 30/6/21 when a chunky 5.6m shares were traded shorters were active closing out. 822K shorts to be precise. They did very well as the SP was languishing near 25c. Still 38.4m shorts outstanding as at that date although I wouldn't be surprised if they were active over the following 2 trading days when above average volumes were traded and the SP was rising. They seem to only be active on high turnover days which supports the view they need volume to close out without moving the market.

They don't seem to be in a hurry to close out the position. Shorts only down 20% from start of 2021. With all that's happening at the moment (Buffalo, Dorado, Apus, Pavo etc) this seems puzzling. I would have choked long ago.
