admittedly there are a range of different types of paedophiles, from parents who had grown up with being sexually abused themselves as children and so thinking sex with their children is normal, to the most horrible predators such as teachers, priests, nurses and doctors even.

few sex offenders are accepting of therapeutic approaches and models. most are highly resistant. rapists are often the worst.

imo there is a strong argument that sex offenders should have the longest sentences and released only on very tight parole with medical injectable management to reduce their libido.
