You're right. People shouldn't have children, particularly when they're young and trying to establish themselves, working for low wages and paying off a ridiculously large mortgage. They should wait until they can easily afford it, like in their mid to late 40's. Or they should just not have children at all, that'll be great for an aging population like ours, or will that be a problem?? Never mind, we can just import more people to help us out as we get old.
