    Dr. Robert Coenraads.

On my second visit to the QBL offices in Sydney I had the opportunity to meet Dr. Coenraads. During that 30-minute conversation, we were interrupted twice with a call from Asia and a call from America. When I walked into his office he was working on a geology study regarding iron content in ore samples.

    My impression of Dr. Coenraads?

I found him to be an extremely knowledgeable and polite man, and I was pleased to spend some time with him to get a better understanding of his role within the company.

Who is Dr. Robert Coenraads? Have QBL employed the best possible person to deal with their bauxite projects?

Dr. Robert Coenraads is a geoscientist, and author of four books and over 30 scientific publications. He has led archaeological, natural history and geology field trips to various corners of the globe - including the magnificent Olmec, Maya, and Aztec sites of Mexico, active volcanoes of the Pacific region, and a number of fabulous gem mines. During his 35-year exploration career, travelling to some of the world’s poorest regions has sparked a strong humanitarian interest.

Dr. Coenraads is currently President of FreeSchools World Literacy – Australia, and has established a support network to provide free education for underprivileged children in India, Thailand and Africa. It is his firm belief that a solid education for all, not just a privileged few, is the key to solving the world’s major problems such as overpopulation, hunger and poverty.

He has written scientific articles for Reader’s Digest, Weldon Owen and worked with Millennium House to produce quality educational books.

He has been a Senior Lecturer with the Gemological Association of Australia since 1995 and was the Senior Geophysicist with Esso Australia in the early 80's.

He holds Doctorates in Philosophy, Geological, and Earth Sciences/Geosciences from the Macquarie University. His thesis for the Geosciences Ph.D. on alluvial Sapphire and Diamond deposits inspired 12 other publications to be written.

He obtained and holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Geophysics and Seismology from the University of British Colombia, Vancouver, Canada.

Is Dr. Coenraads confident and adequately qualified to handle the Bauxite project in North Queensland?

One of his more recent publications 'NE Australia: Integrated mineralogy, geochemistry, age determination, genesis and geographical typing' was written because of his detailed knowledge of the topography and geochemistry of the NE area of Queensland and its suitability as a mineral-rich resource area.

Regarding his remuneration, considering his qualifications. I will leave that for the shareholders to decide.

I have quickly come to the realization, in the 3 months, that I have been associated with QBL , and in the many discussions that I have had with the Feldman's, is that they don't settle for 2nd best when it comes to bringing in key personnel to manage the company, or sign exclusive agreements with world leading Universities and/or institutions or secure deals with Australian and International industry leaders and personalities. I, for one, am very pleased to be associated with this company.

This is just a personal comment, and of course, my own opinion. Everyone is free to make their own mind up on the material I have added here.

The content on Dr. Coenraads is sourced from Linked-in, Research gate, Mining and Geology Specialist and Gemology publication sites.
