Not totally irrelevant to you. It is an opportunity for you. If management negotiate a good deal on the way out then SGH gets to shed some debt and open up a number of interesting options.

A good exit deal would give a healthy bump that would be tightly linked to the discount they get. This could be up to 30% (just my opinion).

A bad exit deal will pour some more misery on this already beleaguered stock. They would be negotiating from a good position so I think the good deal scenario is more likely than the bad deal.
