One promise Abbott would not get too much curry for breaking would be the one to repeal the MRRT legislation, and give it some teeth and divert it into a SW fund.

But being pessimistic, I cannot see much far-sighted thinking from either side of politics, unless you include trying to cripple the unions and create a larger pool of unemployed to drive down wages.

But it's early days yet, so we will have to just wait and see.
