Even though the NRL and AFL make some interesting choices for entertainment , reckon there would be a fair bit of marketing advice behind it .
You have to consider the target audience . It's the younger people that will be around for another 50 years , not the angry old white men on HC that yell at their televisions .
Someone mentioned Tina Turner . Apparently the NRL had booked her when her career was in the dumps . Between that time they booked her and the grand final her album ' Private Dancer ' was released . 8All of a sudden she was a massive star again . Very fortunate timing by the NRL as they couldn't have afforded her once she became famous again .
As to getting Tina back again , well , she turns 78 in November .

I'm not going to be told that i have to listen to some 78 year old hussy playing the devil's music and singing about stripping at a family sporting event!!!! Why cant we just have one of those nice string quartets playing music without words, like we did in the old days
