I think you misunderstood me Wilson. Other than my first purchase of MAK before the oppies were in the money I have bought MAKOs only.
But my point was that although the price is often appears to lag MAK by 35-40c that isn't the whole story a lot of the time, particularly recently. There are so few MAKOs up for sale at most times now that if you want to buy more than a couple of thousand of them, you'll have to buy out a few lines in the depth which pushes the price way up above the 30c premium anyway. Most of the day today there were less than 10K for sale for a price lower than the 30c premium.
As for trying to sell them, be careful. Have a look at the daily volumes on MAKO recently. It has dried up to a trickle. 38k only today. If the price does drop quick for whatever reason (not saying it will) you might be in for a rude shock. I'd certainly not call it a "silly misconception" that there's a risk attached to them.
