I find it interesting to follow the World Nuclear Power Reactors listings that the World Nuclear Organisation puts out from time to time.

The latest one details the following information updated as at 20th March, 2008:


March 2008... 439 REACTORS OPERABLE
March 2008... 35 REACTORS under CONSTRUCTION
March 2008... 91 REACTORS PLANNED
March 2008... 228 REACTORS PROPOSED
March 2008... 64,615 tonnes URANIUM REQUIRED in 2008

It is interesting to note that South Africa are proposing to build 24 new reactors, which should be beneficial to companies who are exploring for uranium in that area. Oh... that's right... we are! LOL!

Countries that are proposing to build MORE than South Africa are : USA (25) and China (86). So South Africa is third in line.

RSL has two major leasehold areas of significant interest containing radiometric anomalies:

The Machinga lease is notable for two significant uranium radiometric anomalies:

The Machinga property covers some 378 sq km just north of the old capital city of Zomba in south central Malawi. The 'Interpretation of Airborne Geophysical Survey Results' carried out by Paterson, Grant and Watson for the United Nations Development Programme Report in Oct 1987, and refined by them for RRR in late 2006, highlighted two areas for investigation for uranium exploration; the Chinduzi Radioactive Zone, and the Machinga Radioactive Zone. Both of these target areas are covered by the Machinga Property and are marked in blue on the attached map.
