Precisely, and repeating rabid claims like "dumping large amounts of radioactive waste in their backyard for profit" are purely inflammatory, and frankly quite offensive.
That journo & Goofy should actually go to Kuantan and just look at the way Malaysia treats its "backyard", forgetting the bigger issues of deforestation for palm oil, degradation from tin mining and waste disposal, just have a look at the mess from bauxite mining. All for a quick buck when Indonesia stopped exporting bauxite to China, the Kuantan area was raped & pillaged, they turned the rivers red & the trucks ran people down in their haste to get to port.

Spent a week in Kuantan recently, incl visit to LAMP, and I can assure punters from my observations it is the neatest house on the block, Malaysia has a very long way to go to live up to Lynas standards.
