Your statement is definately not true ,Malaysia is a very modern progressive country and prides itself on that . Like every country it has it’s “loudmouths ,political opportunists etc” .We all know it was a good few years back now that these few people generated some anti Lynas sentiment in the local population by absurd nonsensical scare tactics. (at election time )Lynas held many public safety forums which came to an end when by the company’s own words ,”people stopped coming” as they gathered enough facts for themselves , and saw these scare tactics for what they were . Denigrating the country is unhelpful by throwing out stupid statements .We have had one well known poster here even blaming the poor water supply ,resulting from the years low rainfall to be “the Malaysia affect “= how ridiculous . Being such the modern plant that it is , with best pracices that it abides by make it a very compelling industry to have in Malaysia. Better to stick to facts /reason , not denigrating /sky falling in stuff . imho .
