I have been indirectly involved with Mr Weld since 1987 through my employers (Carr Boyd and Ashton) and it is by far the world's best rare earth deposit. I vividly recall John Daniels, Chairman of Carr Boyd, emphasisng one of its main advantages was the very low radioactive count so it is a real shame that even this low counts was to cause so much emotion because of ignorance and unrealistic regulations. You may be right on Westfarmers, they may up there bid, but their skulduggery leaves an unpleasant taste. Good luck to all holders of LYC. It is in good hands with current management. I would be punting on Kalgoorlie for the WA site for the crack plant.
