I got a kick out of taifatt's comment,

"...please respect another country’s sovereign... Think of the people in the country, it’s not all about money, money can enrich lives of course, but in an ethical way."

taifatt consider this: if Malaysia doesn't want Lynas then Japan loses its source of rare earths. So does the USA. So Japan and the USA now have little reason to defend Malaysia. As of 2018 the following seems accurate:

From the above it might be concluded that Malaysia's sovereignty is not based on it's land, sea or air power. With no disrespect, but it might be said that if Japan and the USA walked away from Malaysia because Fuzziah and company having a case against Lynas the sovereign country of Malaysia might last three days at most as the Chinese attack from the South China Sea islands it has built. From the islands, Malaysia is only 820 miles away - an hour an a half by attack plane, 20 hours by destroyers and frigates.

Fuzziah needs to understand the Chinese Communist Party's and Mr. Xi's goal of Asian dominance.

As a former US Marine I speak only for myself, but if Malaysia decides to close Lynas then I don't see a reason to protect Malaysia with American troops. I would actively protest against it. You don't come to the aid of administrations that dislike you as in Malaysia dislikes Lynas. Before the Malaysian government does anything it might regret, consider the above numbers. I'd say that Malaysia has a zero chance of successfully defending itself from China if Japan and the USA walk away.
