I am having a lot of trouble fathoming whether the protests against the LAMP are an irrelevant sideshow, or a meaningful risk for Lynas.
Forming a view on this really requires a detailed understanding of the political landscape in Malaysia. Does anyone on this forum have a good enough understanding of the political power of the current coalition government??
I reckon that a worst case scenario here . . . .being no Malyasian LAMP project at all. . . . .would be pretty bad for Lynas shareholders. Presumably a four year delay to find an alternate site, get approvals & then construct???
How big a risk is this?
FYI - I sold out this morning just because I think the noise on this is getting too loud.
