Thank you for, as my fellow poster said, putting the whole issue into context.
Having lived and worked in Penang/Butterworth during the early years of Malaysia's independence, in the mid-80s while in Defence Strategic Policy in Canberra I did a short study visit to KL and Singapore, and talked with some representatives of the Indian and Chinese communities, learning more about the bumiputra Gobernment policies that were intended to help Malays to take a greater economic role. It's very interesting to watch how this very complex inter-racial tension has been and is now evolving.
There do seem to be grounds for cautious optimism, not least because of overall emphasis on industrial developments such as at Gebung....
Lastly, I'm sure all Lynas shareholders would appreciate your occasional thoughtful, science-based balancing commentaries on the Lynas-related scene in Malaysia.
