    I don't think too many successful businessman have ever bothered with politics because of the politics behind the whole process. That is why Malcolm failed as a political leader the first time.

    Also, the best politicians don't typically make it to the top - or conversely, many of the ones who make it to the top are often poor leaders. There are plenty of great examples of this.

    We've had very few good politicians make it to the top. John Howard stands out in recent memory.

    A top notch businessman who decides to run for politics, typically does it for philosophical reasons (or maybe ego), but certainly not for the money...

    Show me a successful politician who has ever made it in business?

    Don't think you can make a blanket comment about successful business people not being up to it. However, from the perspective of playing the typical faction game, we'll soon find out if Turnbull has worked it out.
