Exactly. The earth has been on a warming trend since the middle of the Maunder Minimum (little ice age) circa 1690 when the sun went to sleep. This trend continues today. It is not surprising that the warmest recorded temperatures are at the later parts of the warming. Of course this was much before the industrial revolution. In fact more than 30 per cent of CO2 emissions ever have taken place since 2000.
