Very good questions that’s why I added the ‘proper supervision’ caveat as you wouldn’t want to have 80% of the money not being used for its intended targets.
Still think that the money would be better spent by non gov agencies. OzHarvest is one of the best examples, deliver food to the needy to make sure kids don’t go hungry.....but there are plenty more out there.
If I get up in the morning, go to work and get taxes through the roof for that I’m ok with it, less so if it goes to overbloated government agencies who direct the bulk of my taxes to ungrateful low-middle or middle income Australians. More for the needy less for those who can fend for themselves, just my opinion of course
