Actually we don’t even have to cut their renumeration, just reduce their staff. I would like to see us have 10 times the number politicians representing electorates 1/10th the size of the current ones, but provide them with no staff. The cost would be the same and when you contacted your local rep you would speak to them directly rather than some tax payer funded staffer.
