    I think there is a huge difference in opinion on Turnbull between residents of Sydney and everywhere else. Turnbull has good support in Sydney (where eagle lives) and he is ignored just about everywhere else.

    If he is so popular why are the bookies making him the outsider to lead the Coalition?

    Howard was also unpopular as opposition leader and went on to win three terms. I think polls are worthless as a leading indicator of a prime minister.

    Gillard would run rings round Turnbull as Coalition leader. He couldnt stand up to her in 2008 and he cant now.
